Madagascar: Promoting the artisanal heritage

In order to enhance their craft heritage and create additional income, a rural confederation of peasants has been created by a group of several farmers’ associations.

The farmers and craftsmen participating in the project want to show visitors that with modest means, they can offer discovery tours that are as unusual as they are moving, and without sacrificing either the dream landscapes or the moments of relaxation on the beach to admire the sunset.

Through this cooperative, we promote rural tourism by contributing to local development and local Malagasy crafts.

During their stay, travelers contribute to the enhancement of 18 sites and villages, and to the creation of new jobs such as crafts and the processing of agricultural products.
